I would turn to it as a last resort.

Vector Clip turns the clipping on and off - Depending on the geometry this can be very GPU intensive and crash possibly crash TD. I created this option because I really hate how when I attempt to do this same task via illustrator it would completely mangle the gcode plot order.

Add rectangle should add a bounding box rectangle to the clip.

Ideally the artwork should be the proper size before even hitting the tox. I would only use pre-clip transform as a last resort
